Job Summary
Merchandise Manager at Five Below oversees receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for rapid placement on the sales floor; manages display setup and signage aligned with corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates; handles opening/closing duties including cash security and alarm checks; serves as Manager on Duty when needed to oversee store operations, staff management, and customer service; supports onboarding and training of associates to improve performance; drives sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service; ensures Inventory Integrity is executed according to company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- College experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Must be able to move/carry merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including day/evening/weekends/overnight as needed
- Ability to operate cash register and handle basic store operations
- Ability to supervise and train store associates
- Experience with merchandising and inventory control
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders and perform stocking duties
