Merchandise Financial Planner

Job Summary
Develop accurate annual and seasonal financial plans for sales, margin, inventory, and turn to support merchandise strategy and financial objectives. Create and revise rolling merchandise forecasts, analyze selling patterns to influence allocation and replenishment strategies, and partner with buyers to adjust inventory levels and promotional plans. Lead end-to-end management of merchandise and financial planning, including optimizing inventory investments across pricing, in-stock levels, and seasonal transitions. Present strategies and post-season analysis insights to senior leadership and support the VP & Director in strategic division meetings. Achieve designated KPIs for sales, margin, and inventory turnover while driving cost reductions and inventory productivity gains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably with a business focus, or an equivalent blend of relevant experience and education
- 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- JDA Enterprise Planning (or equivalent) experience preferred
- Demonstrate ability to develop analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. critical and evaluative thinking) required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required
- Ability to communicate effectively across many levels within the organization
- Ability to influence decisions by creating a excellent case for action, using analytical findings
- Collaborative Skills: ability to partner across departments to engage decisions
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Must be available for a minimum of four days in the office each week
- Must be able to work a standard work week with up to one remote 'flex day' (with leader approval)
Desired Qualifications
- JDA Enterprise Planning (or equivalent) experience preferred
