Job Summary
Merchandise Coordinator at TJX-affiliated Marshalls location in Peoria, IL. Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing, and maintaining a positive customer experience. Key duties include training and mentoring Associates on merchandising principles, ensuring items are properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, orchestrating truck deliveries, maintaining back stock organization, and coordinating with management to prioritize tasks. Must monitor productivity, support shrink-reduction initiatives, uphold safety and labor compliance, and promote credit and loyalty programs while delivering exceptional service and collaborating with the management team to drive store performance.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of retail experience
- 6 months of leadership experience
- ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- strong communication and organizational skills
- team-player with coaching/mentoring ability
- ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation
- understanding of merchandising standards and backroom processes
- ability to train others
- compliance with labor laws and safety protocols
