Job Summary
Lead merchandising and freight processing as Merchandise Assistant Manager, partnering with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic team of associates and deliver positive customer experiences. Responsibilities include assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, protecting assets (including cash), maintaining store standards in stockroom and sales floor, processing corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, key surveys), keeping areas neat and presentable, ensuring a safe, respectful environment, and performing other duties as assigned. Support duties include processing receipt/return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise (including frozen/refrigerated items), ensuring sales floor effectiveness, planning and maintaining clip strips and power panels with sales-efficient items, and implementing monthly Sales Planners. Desired skills include prior retail and management experience, strong communication, interpersonal and written abilities, and physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform frequent movement in a high-energy team setting.
