Job Summary
Service Advisor acts as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers in the service lane, using clear language to explain technician recommendations and suggest up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe. Responsibilities include setting, confirming and preparing appointments; meeting or exceeding targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction; greeting customers; determining vehicle needs via walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives; using a consultative selling process for ongoing maintenance planning; producing repair orders with cost/time estimates; coordinating with technicians and parts to ensure timely work; following up with customers on status and satisfaction; gaining product knowledge to better assist customers; delivering an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
- Prior sales experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills
- The willingness to follow up with customers
- Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
