Job Summary
Lead client-side oversight of Phase B and C enabling works packages for a £10 billion hyperscale data centre development in Northumberland. Manage interfaces with piling, earthworks, drainage, and substation construction while monitoring contractor performance against programme, quality, and environmental compliance. Coordinate planning condition discharge, permitting requirements, and design queries with consultants and adjacent project teams. Produce daily site monitoring notes, weekly progress dashboards, and monthly executive summaries tracking risks, issues, and KPIs. Ensure readiness for subsequent data centre construction activities through structured reporting and action tracking. This role supports safe, compliant delivery of major enabling works across a complex live programme.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in enabling works, earthworks, external works, remediation, or large-scale CSA infrastructure delivery
- Strong understanding of programme management, planning conditions, permits, stakeholder interfaces, and contractor coordination
- Experience of piling platforms, haul roads, temporary drainage, logistics planning, and environmental obligations
- Ability to monitor delivery and drive accountability while maintaining clear boundaries around contractor means, methods, and sequencing
- Strong reporting, issue management, escalation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience working within large, complex construction or infrastructure programmes
- Proactive and site-focused
