MEP Systems Manager

Job Summary
Lead MEP preconstruction, procurement, and budget oversight, overseeing quality, safety, engineering coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and project close-out. Responsibilities include defining the scope of MEP work and evaluating bids, creating detailed CPM schedules for MEP installation activities, assisting with MEP design development on Design Build projects, coordinating RFI/Submittal/Document Review and Control processes, developing the MEP schedule of values and reviewing monthly invoices, managing the MEP budget, overseeing commissioning, creating project-specific MEP quality plans, performing site inspections for MEP compliance, negotiating pricing and change orders with MEP subcontractors, coordinating field activities with the Superintendent and project team, providing MEP oversight for the BIM process, managing multiple projects at varying stages, mentoring MEP Project Engineers, fostering a team culture aligned with Hourigan’s values, and participating in the safety program with a commitment to safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of industry experience
- LEED certifications is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with MS Project, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam preferred
- Previous experience managing employees preferred
- Some periodic travel may be required
