Job Summary
MEP Superintendent for a data center construction project in Bloomsburg, PA. Lead field activities for electrical, mechanical, and controls subcontractors and self-performed work; coordinate with subcontractors to keep the project on time and within budget; ensure equipment is onsite when needed; partner with the Construction Project Manager on budget and preconstruction phases; mentor assistant supers and coordinators; maintain safe, productive field operations; provide leadership for all field MEP mission-critical activities, including installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting; manage vendors to ensure proper installation and energization of Electrical, Mechanical, and Control Systems; facilitate weekly safety and progress meetings; ensure project closeout and demobilization; travel to project site as required; 8+ years of relevant experience and strong communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of data center / critical facilities MEP construction experience
- Experience working for a General Contractor or Trade
- Detailed understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems, MOPs/SOPs, installation, functionality, troubleshooting
- Experience in directing and/or supporting the commissioning effort
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written)
- Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel if not local to project
- Experience with administrative tasks: managing change orders, billing, creating reports
- Military/veteran experience is a plus
