MEP Superintendent (Commercial Construction)

Job Summary
Oversee daily field operations for all MEP trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and controls on a large-scale commercial project. Coordinate installation activities between subcontractors, the general superintendent, project management, and design consultants while leading coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts. Monitor installation progress against the schedule, ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and code requirements, and manage inspections, testing, startup, and commissioning of all systems. Review RFIs, submittals, and change orders, mitigate field conflicts to maintain productivity, and support project closeout including punch list completion and turnover. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction experience
- 5+ years as an MEP Superintendent or MEP Field Leader
- Experience on large-scale projects ($100M+)
- Experience on arenas or stadiums
- Experience on large hospitality/resort developments
- Experience on casinos
- Experience on convention centers
- Experience on large commercial or mixed-use projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and building systems integration
- Proven experience coordinating multiple MEP subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM coordination models
- Experience supporting commissioning and system startup processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on large hospitality, casino, or arena projects
- Familiarity with BIM coordination platforms (Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Background with major general contractors or large-scale construction programs
