Job Summary
Manage daily on-site MEP construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors while enforcing safety policies and maintaining a clean job site. Prepare accurate documentation, including daily reports, schedules, submittals, and as-built drawings, and drive project schedules through critical path planning and material coordination. Review subcontractor scopes, lead preconstruction meetings, and present status reports to owners. Proactively address project challenges and resolve issues without delays. Submit incident reports within 24 hours and complete monthly safety training logs. Assist site superintendent with general site management and mentor field staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-10 years of construction or related experience
- OSHA 10
- Thorough understanding of the plumbing trade and process
- Thorough understanding of mechanical trades and process
- Thorough understanding of electrical trade and process
- Thorough understanding of all fire prevention/ sprinkler trade work
- Ability to write and manage the MEP RFI process
- Ability to direct and manage MEP BIM coordination
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply building codes
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply submittal requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of trade work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection
- Experience managing public utility installations, including design review, approvals, and easement processes
- Ability to determine appropriate crew sizes
- Ability to coordinate trades
- Strong awareness of and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Adequate vision for reading plans
- Adequate vision for inspecting work
- Adequate vision for ensuring safety compliance
- Adequate hearing to recognize warnings
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in noisy environments
- Ability to bend, kneel, or reach to perform various tasks
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
