Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer leading MEP design for large-scale educational, commercial, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include preparing electrical design for power distribution, grounding, lighting, and fire alarm systems; applying design knowledge to equipment specifications and selections; analyzing complex engineering problems and delivering effective resolutions; directing a team of designers and support personnel; coordinating with other engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients; leading an electrical design group on large-scale projects; adhering to company policy and OSHA safety rules. Key skills include advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design, familiarity with building codes and energy/construction standards, proficiency with SKM, Lighting Design and Photometric Software, AutoCAD, and project-lead experience. Must possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering and a PE license; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- PE License Required
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering
- 10+ years of formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
- Experience with Engineering Design software including SKM
- Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software
- Experience with latest versions of AutoCAD
- Must have experience as a project lead on complex, multi-discipline engineering design projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
