Job Summary
Coordinate MEP trades on major construction projects by developing detailed CPM schedules, conducting site visits to review subcontractor quality, and facilitating 3D coordination to resolve conflicts. Lead MEP subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning while managing commissioning documentation, reviewing submittals for compliance, and representing Sundt Construction at owner meetings. Assist with material procurement, project logistics, and warranty support to ensure successful project completion.
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in Construction/MEP Coordination
- 6-9 years of experience in Construction/MEP Coordination
- Experienced dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors
- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project
- Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low?voltage systems
- Must have an in depth knowledge of LEED especially as it relates to the Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning credits
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs as well as Primavera P6
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Will lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
- MEP Specialist Step I will ideally have 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer
- MEP Specialist Step II will ideally have a combined total of 6-9 years of Project Engineer and Superintendent experience and should have experience coordinating MEP systems on large scale projects
