MEP Project Manager, Data Centers

Job Summary
Manage MEP project resources and documentation throughout the lifecycle, including selecting subcontractors, reviewing bid tabs and submittals, and approving monthly requisitions and change orders. Conduct site walks to verify schedule progress and coordinate with BIM/VDC teams, superintendents, and A/E firms to resolve coordination items. Obtain AHJ approvals, manage testing and commissioning, and develop delivery logs for long-lead items. Coordinate multi-trade portions, obtain mechanical close-out documentation, and lead life safety inspections while working with utilities and tenant fit-out teams. Bachelor of Science in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection required with 5+ years of systems experience and 2+ years in project management. Full-time role based in Suffolk's network of offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (technical/engineering degree) Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire protection
- Minimum 5+ years experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems
- Minimum of 2+ years of project management experience
- Strong computer skills are required i.e. MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications
- Complete understanding of BIM/VDC coordination including various hit detection programs
- Knowledge of Local, City, State, and International building codes for the location of the project
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and LEED requirements
- Extensive knowledge of testing and balancing and commissioning practices
- Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately
- Ability to communicate at all levels
