Job Summary
Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for projects in Japan, ensuring quality, safety, compliance, and on-time execution. Manage end-to-end project oversight including review of drawings, technical submittals, procurement coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive stakeholder alignment and resolve technical or delivery challenges. Execute proactive risk, issue, and change management while maintaining disciplined budget, reporting, and schedule management. Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, and proficiency in project management tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP project management, building services, construction, or infrastructure delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven track record of managing MEP scope across complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across design, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Familiarity with Japan codes, compliance requirements, contractor management, and local project delivery practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal teams, consultants, and external vendors
- Business-level Japanese and English language capability
- Proficiency in project management, reporting, and documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and construction management systems
- Proven problem-solving, coordination, and risk management capability in fast-paced project environments
