MEP Project Manager

Job Summary

Oversee comprehensive direction, completion, and financial success of MEP projects by interpreting construction plans, identifying coordination issues, and managing prime contracts and vendor agreements. Lead a small to mid-sized team while forecasting costs, managing RFIs and submittals, and developing bid packages in adherence to client policies. Act as the primary point of contact with clients, providing progress reporting and facilitating coordination meetings to track action items. Create phased implementation plans to minimize disruptions to existing building operations and develop mitigation strategies for system outages. Forecast costs for upcoming MEP activities and manage schedules through project management software.

Required Qualifications

  • Expert understanding of MEP Construction Drawings and Documentation
  • Interpretation of MEP construction plans, technical specifications, and submission requirements
  • Ability to identify potential coordination issues or scope gaps
  • Collaboration with clients and stakeholders to define MEP scope and determine optimal delivery methods
  • Oversight of prime contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
  • Management of MEP scopes across all project phases
  • Deep technical knowledge of building systems
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
  • 5–7 years of relevant construction industry experience with direct responsibility for MEP systems
  • Experience in healthcare, institutional, or infrastructure projects with active building conditions and system upgrades
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam
  • Ability to review and understand ARCH & MEP drawings and reports
  • Focus on constructability, sequencing, and system integration within active facilities

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MEP coordination software (Navisworks or Revit)

  • Ability to manage multiple MEP-intensive projects or phases concurrently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare, institutional, or infrastructure projects (preferred)
