Job Summary
Serve as the Owner's Representative and Primary Point of Contact for all MEP-related activities, collaborating with Construction and Critical Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless project execution and transition to operations. Verify that electrical power, UPS, generator, mechanical, HVAC, and building management systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with DataBank standards. Lead planning and execution of infrastructure projects, oversee capacity planning for space, power, and network resources, and provide technical oversight for expansions and customer-specific solutions. Manage day-to-day operation of mission-critical infrastructure, prepare monthly operational metrics and technical status reports, and lead incident response efforts to ensure rapid service restoration. Supervise engineering and facilities staff while championing continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or other mission-critical environments
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience managing technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field
- Expert-level knowledge of UPS and generator systems
- Expert-level knowledge of power distribution equipment
- Expert-level knowledge of Mechanical and HVAC systems
- Expert-level knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, safety regulations, and quality management systems, including ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure, uptime-critical environments
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical presentation skills
- High proficiency in developing operational documentation, proposals, and technical reports
