Job Summary
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify MEP scope, risks, and coordination requirements. Lead MEP coordination meetings, develop execution plans, and monitor field installation to ensure compliance with codes and project schedules. Manage subcontractor tendering, validate progress claims, and resolve technical challenges while enforcing quality control and site safety standards. Track progress against master schedules, validate change requests, and support successful commissioning and turnover of complex building systems.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Systems, or a related field
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in MEP coordination or management on ICI projects
- Proven experience working for or with a General Contractor
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and life‐safety systems
- Solid understanding of Canadian building codes and local authority requirements
- Experience with BIM coordination and digital construction tools
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
