Job Summary
Analyze blueprints and design documents to prepare detailed cost estimates and perform accurate quantity takeoffs. Lead the development of conceptual and feasibility cost models using historic benchmarking and industry experience. Obtain current pricing from databases and contractors, then review inputted takeoff data in CATO to assess accuracy and finalize unit cost pricing reflecting market conditions. Work with architects and engineers to clarify project scope, develop relationships with A/E firms, and reconcile estimates against contractor bids to explain variance drivers. Provide high-level cost estimates for EWR Redevelopment programs, including the Airtrain and Terminal B planning initiatives, while operating independently with PA engineers. Full-time on-site role at Newark Airport (EWR) with five days a week, offering a salary range of $130,000 - $140,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field
- minimum 5 years aviation experience
- Computer skills
- Fluent in MS Excel
- On- Screen takeoff
- SharePoint document control
- Full time role based out of EWR
- 5 days a week on site requirement
