Job Summary
Oversee AECOM's MEP Engineering operations in Philadelphia, managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Protection departments while mentoring staff and driving project delivery. Lead major pursuits as a technical leader and quality reviewer, ensuring high-caliber output on complex infrastructure projects involving airport authorities, federal agencies, and research institutions. Develop and execute strategies to grow the local engineering team, optimize staffing across disciplines, and guide interdisciplinary coordination to meet engineering standards. Represent the firm to clients, participate in interviews, and craft winning proposals for stand-alone and multi-discipline work. This hybrid leadership role requires a PE license in Pennsylvania and 10+ years of experience, with no relocation or sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Arts/Bachelors of Science
- +10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 2 years of team leadership experience
- PE license in Pennsylvania
- ability to obtain licensure in additional U.S. states
- experience providing high quality deliverables while delivering multiple projects simultaneously while supervising a design team
- in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in an engineering lead or design management role
- Affinity for business development
- Experience with transportation sector projects
- Strong background in building design
