MEP Engineer

Job Summary
MEP Engineer responsible for overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low Voltage engineering activities for retail/commercial projects. Provide technical oversight and project management for designs by contracted consultants; manage MEP/FP consultant contracts including budget compliance and drawing production; review drawings, specifications, RFPs, and bid proposals; lead Low Voltage coordination and lighting design direction; guide interior/exterior lighting systems and controls; support construction administration and interfacing with contractors; collaborate with Property Management, Tenant Coordination, Risk Management, Energy Services, Procurement, and Sustainability teams; leverage knowledge of MEPFP codes and energy management to improve durability, maintenance, and cost efficiency. Requires strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and experience in retail development design processes; PE is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar Engineering
- Experience Retail, Mall, Commercial Construction or similar
- A PE (Professional Engineer) designation, or similar is preferred but not required
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, lighting systems, and energy management

- MEPFP knowledge including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and energy management

- Sustainability initiatives knowledge
- Lighting design and controls experience
- Energy Services and Procurement interface experience
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
