Job Summary
Review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for building construction and perform code plan reviews or inspections on residential and commercial structures. Prepare written and electronic reports, issue notices of correction, and explain building code or quality control regulations to clients. Resolve unique project problems while maintaining effective customer service relationships with clients and the public. Manage specific projects related to code inspections within the Miami-Dade office, with some travel required for inspections and project management in the Southeast Florida tri-county market.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License in Florida
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or closely related engineering discipline
- Must be a local candidate
- Must be available for some travel for inspections and/or managing projects
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Must possess excellent analytical skills
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on large and small building projects within the Southeast Florida tri-county market
- Experience in dealing with municipal agencies
