Job Summary
Coordinate MEP systems for the Kaiser Permanente San Jose hospital replacement project by reviewing project documents, evaluating schedules, and conducting daily job walks to ensure installation accuracy. Manage procurement logs, enter RFIs into ProCore, and prepare submittal packages while facilitating 3D CAD coordination meetings. Evaluate change order estimates and enforce QA/QC programs for mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Utilize Revizto, vPlanner, and Primavera to build virtual models and track field progress. Reports to the Director of Mechanical and Electrical Services with co-location in Oakland until 2024.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be eligible to work to the U.S. without visa sponsorship or transfers now or in the future
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, (Electrical, Construction Management) or technical training is required
- A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree
- Demonstrates good written and oral communications and team skills
- Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Intermediate skill level with MS Excel 2000
- Intermediate skill level with MS Word 2000
- Intermediate skill with Procore
- Intermediate skill knowledge of MS Outlook
- Must be able to work under general supervision
- Must be able to receive work direction and work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and abilities
- Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use cost-estimating methods
- Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in construction field
- Obtains or maintains a working knowledge of the Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression Codes, Life Safety Codes and local requirements
- Develops and nurtures subcontractor/vendor relationship
