Job Summary
DPR Construction seeks a detail-oriented MEP Coordinator to manage the day-to-day coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and fire sprinkler scopes within commercial construction projects. The role involves overseeing the owner-architect interface, providing construction support for MEP systems, and developing commissioning plans for MEP systems. Candidates should possess strong engineering concepts, excellent communication skills, manage meetings effectively, and resolve complex issues. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, alongside substantial experience in commercial construction.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of commercial construction experience
- 5+ years of experience as a MEP coordinator, preferably within DPR’s core markets
Desired Qualifications
- Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts
- Ability to run complex meetings with multiple attendees
- Good understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems
- Good understanding of test and balance requirements
- Good understanding of direct digital controls installations/integration
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Ability to create and support team morale
- Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel
- Good understanding of scheduling
