Job Summary
Coordinate MEP disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, low voltage, and fire protection) on DPR Construction’s commercial projects. Responsibilities include estimating support, subcontractor bid reviews, scheduling and logistics, owner-architect interface management, trade partner cost reviews, and development of commissioning plans. Participate in review of MEP shop drawings/submittals, oversee on-site start-up, balancing, commissioning, and training, and help establish MEP quality and safety programs. Requires 8+ years of MEP coordination experience; bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required. The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, executives, and regional leadership to deliver technically complex, sustainable projects.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as an MEP coordinator in commercial construction
- Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts and regulatory codes
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and leading meetings
- Knowledge of commissioning, testing and balancing processes for MEP systems
- Proficient with project coordination tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, Bluebeam, MS Office)
