Job Summary
Manage day-to-day activities for critical data center construction projects by liaising with MEP subs, contractors, and vendors. Ensure project delivery meets budget, timeline, and design standards while overseeing multiple simultaneous projects. Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders; negotiate contracts with vendors; and represent the company in project meetings. Maintain all logs, track progress, and deliver built-to-suit projects with a focus on value-engineering. Act as a key liaison with internal department managers and enforce company standards across all project participants.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as a General Contractor, or from a Trade
- Previous experience moving up the ranks in the Mechanical , Electrical or Plumbing Trades (MEP)
- Previous DC Construction projects supporting either Colo or Hyperscale Companies
- Minimum of 3 to 7+ years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Must be familiar with the design/ build process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Solid Admin skills
- Travel M-F to project site (home 2 weekends per month) with generous per diem
- Preference will be for local candidates / relo available
Desired Qualifications
- Budget and P/L experience a plus
- Client Facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Computer savvy: MS Office Suite, MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
