MEP Construction Contract Administrator

Job Summary
Conduct on-site visits to review contract document compliance, observe ongoing work, and provide progress reports. Communicate effectively with internal team members, clients, owners, and consultants while attending monthly construction progress meetings to prepare and distribute minutes. Review and respond to RFIs, perform submittal reviews, and evaluate contractor applications for payment. Maintain up-to-date project records, prepare timely contract modifications, and review cost proposals. Perform substantial completion and punch list inspections as necessary. Navigate active project sites to assess progress and identify potential problems, creating solutions to ensure projects complete within budget and time limits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of construction contract administration experience on large commercial projects
- Proven history working with construction documents
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design
- Highly organized with the ability to give strict attention to detail
- Ability to be a good troubleshooter who solves problems
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of codes and standards such as ACCA, SMACNA, NEC, IBC, and ASHRAE
- Knowledge and experience in cost analysis and estimating
- Ability to develop good working relationships with all involved on a project including architects, local officials, contractors, and vendors
- Firm understanding of design trends, construction methodology, and material application
- Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential problems and creating solutions as necessary
- Procore experience
- Bluebeam experience
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Ability to navigate active project sites during the construction process
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to access scaffolding
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate with all project participants in an effective and collaborative manner
