Job Summary
Manage the commissioning process for MEP systems across design, construction, start-up, and post-occupancy phases for Capital Improvement and Capacity projects. Assign work to consultants, review proposals for scope alignment, and oversee payment requests. Update construction checklists and functional performance test procedures to ensure compliance with SCA standards, NYCECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and LEEDv5 requirements. Conduct design reviews using Bluebeam to identify constructability issues and code compliance gaps early. Support project closeout activities by coordinating meetings with consultants, departments, and contractors. Handle multiple simultaneous projects while assisting in developing updated SCA design standards and technical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- NYS licensed P.E. or R.A.
- Minimum years of MEP commissioning experience (design review, pre-functional and functional test procedures, construction phase oversight)
- Strong knowledge of energy codes, LEED standards, industry standards and protocols for commissioning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
