Job Summary
Seasoned MEP CAD/Revit Designer with 5–10 years of experience in commercial MEP design for new construction and renovations. Responsible for 3D and 2D MEP design, preparing cost-effective conceptual and construction designs, coordinating BIM/CAD design with estimating staff, drafting design and BIM coordination proposals, and communicating scope of work to clients. Leads BIM/CAD operators, facilitates design issuances for external authority approvals, and collaborates with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Requires experience interpreting blueprints and specifications, preparing time/cost/resource estimates, proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, and knowledge of building energy calculations and relevant codes. Includes participation in meetings, design development, BIM coordination, and adherence to project requirements. Background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record assessment are part of the standard hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years MEP/ Revit design experience on large commercial, industrial, or multi-unit projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, BIM coordination.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IBC, IPC, UCC, and other codes relevant to MEP design.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to provide identity/employment authorization documents per I-9.
