MEP Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Support management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes on large-scale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning. Assist with coordination of design development, constructability reviews, and BIM/clash detection processes while overseeing critical systems installation including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS. Help manage MEP schedules, phasing plans, and sequencing to align with project milestones, and assist in subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, contract administration, and performance tracking. Support QA/QC processes, inspections, and compliance with mission-critical standards, track budgets and cost reports, and participate in commissioning planning and integrated systems testing. Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, design consultants, commissioning agents, and owner representatives to maintain project documentation and ensure safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical cooling infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of mission-critical redundancy architectures
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-reliability environments
- Experience with commissioning processes
- Experience with integrated testing
- Experience with critical systems turnover
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects (data centers strongly preferred)
- Experience with data centers
