Job Summary
Provide individualised mentorship to parents, offering support and guidance on various parenting challenges and assisting them to overcome barriers for employment or educational goals. Facilitate workshops and group sessions while developing engaging educational materials and resources. Foster a safe environment for parents to share experiences and collaborate with community organisations to enhance program offerings. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness to provide feedback for continuous improvement. This role requires a Certificate III or above in a related course, a Working with Children Check, and the ability to speak an additional language. Some travel to Roma may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Personal lived experience in parenting or family support
- Relevant professional experience
- Employment service experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to connect with diverse families
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to meet targets while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives
- Precision in documentation and case management
- Proficient in Technology
- Certificate III or above in a related course in Society and Culture, Health or Education
- Tertiary level qualifications related to education, training, social services, counselling, case management, psychology, community services, careers guidance
- Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one
- Appropriate visa to work in Australia/New Zealand
Desired Qualifications
