Job Summary
Residential Mentor responsible for active direct physical assistance, supervision, and behavioral support to individuals served in Agency programs. Responsibilities include facilitating independent living skills, maintaining privacy, documenting progress, supporting social, recreational, and educational activities, assisting with budgeting and nutrition, transporting individuals served as needed, handling medications, and ensuring safety through evacuation drills and proper use of equipment (e.g., Lifts, wheelchairs). Requires a valid AZ driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and proficiency with computers. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and meet agency training and background-check requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid Arizona Driver's License
- Clean driving record, no more than 2 moving violations in a 3-year period
- Twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals in service and team members using both verbal and written skills
- Able to use computer proficiently
- Provide active direct physical assistance, supervision and behavioral support to individuals served in Agency programs
- Lifting, moving, positioning, and transporting individuals served; (Hoyer Lifts, Wheelchairs, gate belt etc.) Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Obtain, administer, and maintain medications for individuals served
- Provide transportation for individuals served (if hired in a driving position)
- Attend, document and provide feedback for meetings and/or medical appointments for individuals served
- Acquire and maintain all certifications and training required by the Agency in a timely manner
- Able to meet all background checks and personal history checks
