Job Summary

Conduct research-based Practice Based Coaching to strengthen teaching practices and support positive outcomes for young children. Assess education staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and determine coaching needs. Provide focused observations, action planning, strategy implementation, reflection, and feedback while modeling effective teaching practices. Deliver group coaching opportunities for staff not identified for intensive coaching and support the implementation and monitoring of CACS Mentorship programming. Travel between sites to meet with the Partnership Specialist for data reviews and program evaluations. Obtain Infant/Toddler and Preschool C.L.A.S.S certification, Great Start to Quality Assessor status, and MiRegistry Approved Trainer status. Complete training in Creative Curriculum, Pyramid Model, and Practice Based Coaching.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mentor Coach I)
  • Master's Degree (Mentor Coach II)
  • Two to five years of related and progressively more responsible experience in classroom or home-based teaching
  • Supervisory experience in the area of Early Childhood
  • Active Infant/Toddler and Preschool C.L.A.S.S certification
  • Great Start to Quality Approved Assessor status
  • MiRegistry Approved Trainer status
  • Training in Creative Curriculum
  • Training in Pyramid Model (Infant/Toddler/Preschool)
  • Practice Based Coaching training
  • Ability to travel between sites
