Job Summary
Assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including activities of daily living for adult and geriatric patients. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers while functioning as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team. Communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN and perform assigned clerical duties. Support the unit functions and provide basic nursing care in compliance with hospital policies and state regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the State
- BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- one year experience working as Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting
- One (1) year prior mental health experience
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology
