Job Summary
Assist residents in daily living activities, administer prescribed medications, and conduct regular rounds to ensure safety and comfort. Engage residents in conversations to promote social interaction while observing and documenting behaviors to facilitate treatment goals. Aids staff in therapeutic activities such as physical exercises, arts and crafts, and recreational games. Accompanies residents on off-grounds trips and instructs them on purchasing items. Attends to routine health care needs under medical supervision and reports status changes to the Administrator or DON. Follows facility safety guidelines including proper lifting and Universal Precautions. Requires a Bachelor's degree preferred, one year of mental health experience, and a driver's license. Schedule includes AM, PM, and NOC shifts.
Required Qualifications
- experience working in a residential mental health facility
- Driver's License
- Basic First Aid & CPR
- Clear California and Federal background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Preferred in a related field
- At least one year of experience preferred in a related field
- counseling experience within the work history
- CPR Certification
- Mental Health: 1 year (Preferred)
