Job Summary
Mental Health Worker I at Windham Center per diem provides direct patient care and supports a therapeutic milieu. Responsibilities include following the care plan directed by the RN, communicating information to appropriate places, ensuring safety and a therapeutic environment, maintaining knowledge in the practice area, and leading or co-leading groups as appropriate. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, CPR within 3 months of hire, CPI certification within 3 months, and offers a salary range of $19.00-$21.00 per hour with benefits. Preferred training includes DBT and CBT, as well as Anger Management skills. The position is located in Bellows Falls, VT, and is part-time per diem with Springfield Hospital offering a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified (within 3 months of hire)
- CPR (within 3 months of hire)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training (preferred)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training (preferred)
- Anger Management skills training
- Group leadership skills
