Job Summary
Provide supervised therapeutic services to youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties by assisting in planning direct care and recreational activities. Collaborate on individual treatment goals, implement established treatment modalities, and participate in updating discharge plans. Serve as a facilitator for support groups, supervise family visits, and monitor youth during all activities and situations. Safely operate vehicles for client transport and business travel, while cooking, cleaning, and assisting with hygiene supervision. Attend staff meetings, engage in supervision and training, and communicate with the Program Manager regarding progress and special activities.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana
- High School Diploma
- Empathy and Compassion: Ability to empathize with the struggles and emotions of youth experiencing mental health challenges, and to provide compassionate care
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with youth, their families, and other members of the treatment team to facilitate treatment and support plans
- Boundaries and Professionalism: Understanding of professional boundaries and ethical guidelines in mental health care, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy
- Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of youth's interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with YBGR requirements
- Demonstrate being self-motivated, self-disciplined, and diligent with forward thinking
- Demonstrate the ability to think of their team over self and define success collectively rather than individually
- The ability to effectively interact and communicate with others
