Job Summary
Mental Health Worker for Group Home Relief providing supervised therapeutic services to youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties. Responsibilities include supervising youth on assigned shifts, planning direct care/recreational activities, collaborating on individual treatment goals, implementing treatment modalities, updating treatment and discharge plans, facilitating support groups, supervising family visits, transporting youth as needed, assisting with daily living activities, attending staff meetings, engaging in supervision and training, and maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation. Requires empathy, effective communication, professional boundaries, and a willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certification.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: must pass background check as required by the State of Montana
- Education: High School Diploma
- Empathy and Compassion: ability to empathize with youth with mental health challenges
- Communication Skills: communicate effectively with youth and families
- Boundaries and Professionalism: maintain confidentiality and ethical guidelines
- Documentation Skills: maintain accurate records
- First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certification willingness
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaborative skills
