Job Summary
Mental Health Worker provides supervised therapeutic services to youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties in a group home setting. Responsibilities include supervising youth, planning direct care/recreational activities, establishing a positive therapeutic relationship, collaborating on individual treatment goals, implementing treatment modalities, developing and updating treatment/management/discharge plans, facilitating support groups, supervising family visits, transporting youth as needed, helping with hygiene, attending staff meetings and trainings, and maintaining progress notes. Requires a High School Diploma, 21+ years old, background clearance, and demonstrates empathy, strong communication, professional boundaries, documentation skills, self-motivation, teamwork, and alignment with core values; certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention is desired.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana
- Education: High School Diploma
- Willingness to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention
