Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or physician direction, including activities of daily living, personal care, and complex clinical skills. Assist with admissions, discharge, and transfers while performing morning and evening care tasks such as hygiene, positioning, and feeding. Monitor patient safety through 15-minute checks, 1:1 observation, and hourly rounding, documenting vitals and reporting changes or pain to supervising staff. Maintain sterile techniques, infection control, and equipment safety while treating patients and families with respect.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- One year prior experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
- Preferred past experience as a nurses aide preferred
- Prefer: CT CNA Certification
