Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic interviews, individual, couple/family, or group psychotherapy, and provide crisis interventions including 5150 evaluations. Develop treatment and discharge plans while consulting with multidisciplinary staff on patient diagnoses, mental status, and interventions. Deliver psychological emergency assessments and maintain comprehensive progress notes adhering to JCAHO, state, and agency standards. Attend weekly group and individual supervision meetings, training seminars, and maintain proper documentation of training hours and clinical services. Perform additional functions as requested by the Coordinator to meet special facility patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences
- Registered Intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (in California)
- Prior experience in providing substance abuse and/or mental health services
- Prior experience working with youth and/or families in a mental health setting
- Prior experience with DMH documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with DMH documentation, although not mandatory, is preferred
