Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist — remote, private practice online platform. You provide therapy for adults, couples, or teens; you’ll work from a fully remote home setup with autonomy over clinical decisions. Requires 3+ years of mental health counseling experience and a Master’s or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy with a fully independent license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, etc.). Flexible scheduling and weekly pay for sessions; insurance and cash-pay clients available; health stipend, CEU courses, and supportive community of 30,000+ therapists. Note: currently residing in the US and able to conduct sessions remotely; interns or supervision-required counselors cannot provide therapy under this role.
Required Qualifications
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Psychologist / PsyD
- 3+ years of mental health counseling experience
- Master’s or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
- Fully independent license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, etc.) and can provide therapy without supervision
Additional Requirements
- Interns or those requiring supervision cannot provide therapy on BetterHelp
- Cannot accept substance abuse counselors, school counselors, registered nurses, career counselors, Christian counselors, and some related roles unless additional licensure as mental health counselor
