Job Summary
Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and families across Portland Public Schools, NARA Northwest outpatient programs, and community-based settings. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches, including play therapy. Manage crisis interventions, safety planning, and care coordination while collaborating with families, school personnel, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide parenting support, psychoeducation, referrals, discharge planning, and follow-up services. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and mentor new clinicians through shadowing and consultation. Participate in quality assurance, community outreach, and professional training activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field
- Current Oregon licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent behavioral health license
- Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) through MHACBO
- Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation practices
- Ability to effectively engage and provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary treatment team members
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards of practice
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet NARA Northwest's driving requirements, including insurability under the organization's automobile insurance policy
- Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests
- Must pass criminal background and DMV checks
Desired Qualifications
