Job Summary
Conduct individual and group therapy while performing biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients, support access to community resources, and manage crisis situations through suicide screenings and facility stressor elimination. Complete all charts, program documentation, medication management, and incident reports according to defined guidelines. Inform the Clinical Director of significant events and communicate accurately within established protocols. Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Full-time or part-time employment in Carlsbad, CA requires a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work, along with one year of client experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work
- Valid AMFT or ACSW
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Personal automobile insurance
- Hiring is contingent upon receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption
- Hiring is contingent upon a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508)
- Hiring is contingent upon a TB test
- Hiring is contingent upon clearance on an employment physical
Desired Qualifications
- One year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with mental illness
- Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment
- Knowledge of medications and interventions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
