Job Summary
Conduct mental health counseling, therapy, and assessments for students and families in school settings using Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Psychodynamic approaches. Develop treatment plans, manage referrals, and provide crisis intervention while ensuring client safety. Collaborate with teachers, principals, and medical providers to coordinate care and communicate client progress. Assist in program development, protocol creation, and implementation of screenings and evaluation tools. Support interns through recruitment, interviews, and clinical supervision. Deliver monthly data reports and participate in inter-disciplinary and community team meetings. Maintain clinical documentation in the EcW system and adhere to departmental protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a LICSW, LGSW, LCPC, or LGPC in Maryland
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in MD as LGSW or LMSW, or LGPC
- willingness to obtain equivalent DC licensure if requested
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum two years of clinical work experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to the Latino population
- Knowledge of a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic Therapies
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
- Good English writing skills
- Excellent computer skills and experience
