Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist IV provides psychotherapy to adults, children and adolescents seeking mental/behavioral health services including substance use disorders and their families in outpatient settings. Responsibilities include individual, group and family therapy, psycho-educational groups, coordination of services with DHS and other agencies, development and implementation of person-centered treatment plans, documentation, and participation in education and quality improvement activities. Role requires trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, evidence-based practice, culturally competent care, ability to work in crisis situations, travel to multiple locations as needed, and use of EHR and office software. Emphasizes collaboration with consumers in goal setting and progress toward recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school
- Minimum of one year of experience in human services
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record
- Licenses and Credentials: LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLMFT, LMFT, LLP, LP (as applicable)
- Completion of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) within two years of hire
