Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist III responsible for diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with involved teams; provides individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and develops treatment plans; leads groups and supports program development, policy and procedure development, and compliance with WACs and RCWs; requirements include a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, four+ years of clinical experience, and an active WA license (Agency Affiliated Counselor, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker). Additional requirements include TB testing and Basic Life Support CPR within 90 days of hire. The role is full-time at Sea Mar’s Puyallup Behavioral Health site, with benefits outlined for full-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics
- Four or more years of field experience
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or Mental Health Associate License OR active Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License
- Must have and maintain a current TB test
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain it
