Job Summary
Provide diagnostic assessments for patients, refer to psychiatric services, and deliver individual counseling, crisis stabilization, and suicide risk assessment. Lead treatment plans and coordinate with the psychiatric service provider; utilize case management to ensure follow-through and build community support. Educate staff on processes for referrals, maintain documentation in patient charts, and contribute to program development and policy procedures. Ensure confidentiality, comply with WACs/RCWs, and support a culturally-aware, client-centered approach within a Sea Mar clinical setting; expected to perform in-person clinical duties with a minimum productivity standard of 80 hours of face-to-face contact and 80 encounters per month. Must hold a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work and an active WA license (or qualified Associate license) with additional requirements including TB test, BLS CPR, and annual influenza vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes course-work in psychological diagnostics
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (may be pending for up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of being offered employment) or mental health Associate License (includes Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Social Worker)
- Must pass a background check
- Must have and maintain a current TB test
- Annual influenza vaccine required; exception for medical/religious exemption with mask during flu season
