Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist II/III role providing diagnostic assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and case management within Sea Mar’s Behavioral Health program. Responsibilities include referrals and coordination with a diverse team and community partners, developing treatment plans based on diagnoses, providing clinical supervision and leading groups as needed, ensuring compliance with WACs/RCWs and contracts, and supporting program development. Requires a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, and active licensure in Washington state with 4+ years (for MHT II) or 4+ years (for MHT III) of field experience; BLS CPR within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually. The role may involve coordination with inpatient facilities and outpatient programs, and adherence to licensing and continuing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college/university in psychology, counseling, or social work including coursework in psychological diagnostics
- Four or more years of clinical experience in the field
- Active license from the Washington State Department of Health (Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License) or equivalent (Agency Affiliated Counselor License)
- Must obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and ongoing
- Must have or maintain TB test annually
