Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist II positioned within Sea Mar Community Health Centers' behavioral health services to perform diagnostic assessments, coordinate psychiatric referrals, provide individual counseling and crisis stabilization, conduct suicide risk assessments, and develop treatment plans. Responsibilities include documenting outcomes, collaborating with psychiatric providers, coordinating with chemical dependency treatment, delivering case management, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Requires a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, active WA counseling license (or equivalent), CPR, TB test, and ability to obtain credentialing and pass a background check. This role is based in Federal Way, WA, with standard full-time responsibilities and potential for additional evening/weekend hours; salary is $62,400 annually based on $30/hour.”,
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes course-work in psychological diagnostics
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (or Mental Health Associate License)
- Up to three years’ experience in the field
- Current TB test
- Current CPR certification
- Washington State Patrol background check
- Ability to pass a background check
- Knowledge of chemical dependency treatment and coordination with other providers
- Ability to develop treatment plans and provide mental health services including individual counseling and crisis stabilization
