Job Summary
Hospital-based Mental Health Therapist for a pediatric inpatient clinic responsible for mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management, and discharge planning. Requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling, and relevant California licensure/registration (ACSW/AMFT at the Associate level) with BLS certification. Role supports 10-hour day shifts at the Orange, CA campus, collaborating across clinical teams to deliver crisis-oriented care for youth and their families. Strong emphasis on trauma-informed care, safety planning, leadership, and professional communication.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Board of Behavioral Sciences registration as ACSW or AMFT (Associate level)
- One year of experience with youth in mental health crisis
- Crisis de-escalation training (preferred or required)
- LPS designation or related crisis management training (preferred)
- Licensure path in California (e.g., Licensed MFT/LCSW/LPC as applicable)
